About Sabir Semerkant.

Sabir Semerkant is an e-commerce veteran with a 25-year track record of explosive, profitable growth for brands.

He’s grown The Vitamin Shoppe from $12M to $55M (bankrupt to profitable). He’s grown Ashley Stewart from $3M to $30M (and tripled their margins). He’s grown Puritan’s Pride from $170M to $212M (unprofitable to profitable). He’s grown Carol’s Daughter from $3M to $10M, followed by an acquisition by L’Oreal for $27M. He’s grown Shark Tank brands – and yes, he’s worked personally with the Sharks. He’s grown small startups, Fortune 500 brands, and everything in between. He’s also grown his own brands in the health, wellness, and personal care spaces.

In addition to his own clients, Sabir spent several years as the co-founder of VaynerCommerce with Gary Vaynerchuk. As the head of a thriving e-commerce agency, Sabir solved every e-commerce problem under the sun, in nearly any niche.

Sabir breaks down the big problem of “growth” into several smaller problems: acquisition, conversion, retention, fulfillment, and scaling. With each of his clients, Sabir uses all available data and his 25+ years of experience to solve each of these problems, allowing the business to 2-10X.

Another one of Sabir's greatest strengths is his ability to connect with people. He is approachable, humble, and experienced, making him the best of both worlds. When you work with Sabir, you can trust that you're working with someone who genuinely cares about your success and has the expertise to back it up.  He possesses a unique ability to identify what works and what doesn't, and he is always no-nonsense with his clients about what needs to change.

Sabir has been featured in several magazines and has written many articles on e-commerce and entrepreneurship. His most recent piece, "Should Your Company Sell on Amazon?" was published in the September/October 2022 issue of the Harvard Business Review, both in print and online. He has also been a guest lecturer at Harvard Business School, where he shared his experience and knowledge with MBA students. He is an Adjunct Professor at Queens College, where he created and taught a BALA course on "Digital Commerce Entrepreneurship" (Business And Liberal Arts program in the Queens College School of Business). He has also mentored MBA students from Baruch College, NYU, and Cornell Tech, as well as those participating in their university's Business Plan Competition.

Sabir's true passion is helping businesses reach their full potential. His clients have achieved tremendous success thanks to his clear and transparent roadmap to increasing sales and profitability. Thank you for considering Growth by Sabir for your company's growth needs – we're excited to help you achieve exceptional success.
